Veteran Information

Veteran information

It is truly an honor to serve our community’s military veterans. We can assist in securing military funeral honors, burial in a national cemetery, as well as other benefits for those who are eligible. A discharge form with an honorable discharge status (such as DD 214) is required to secure honors and/or benefits. Preplanning is available and we can keep a copy of this document to hold for your family when it is needed.

National Cemetery

The Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery is the closest national cemetery to Stark County. This cemetery allows for casketed burial and burial of cremated remains. A cemetery space or columbarium space, headstone or marker, as well as a burial vault, is provided by the national cemetery. The spouse and dependent children of the veteran are also eligible to be buried in the national cemetery. Find out if you are eligible to be buried in a national cemetery on a preplanning basis. https://www.va.gov/burials-memorials/pre-need-eligibility/
