Craig Gordon
President
The President of Gordon Funeral Homes lives in North Canton with his two children, Megan and Audrey. He is a 1990 graduate of McKinley High School, a 1994 graduate of Ohio University, and a 1996 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He has been working with his family since 1985.
A fourth-generation funeral director, Craig has worked in all areas of the funeral home and took over the business upon the death of his father, Spencer, in 2024. He has been active in the Canton Chamber of Commerce, the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association.

Spencer Gordon

Spencer was a third-generation funeral director, following his grandfather, U. R. Gordon, who founded Gordon Funeral Home in Mineral City in 1918, and his father, Eugene, who opened Gordon Funeral Home in East Sparta in 1937. He was a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1964 and had owned Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home in Canton since 1971 and Finefrock -Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia since 1986. Outside of work, Spencer had a love for sports. Spencer is survived by his wife Becky Gordon; three daughters, one son, and three grandchildren, Sharon and Shawn Lorden, Lori and Tom Collier, and their son, Duncan, Ally and David Rowe, and Craig Gordon and his daughters, Megan and Audrey.

Mallory Bell
Funeral Director
Mallory holds a funeral director and embalmer license in Ohio and Georgia. She is a 2015 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and has been working in the industry since. She started with our funeral home in June of 2024 and is dedicated to serving our community. Mallory is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Belden and takes giving back to the community to heart. She is also currently working hard on continuing her education to receive a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner title.

Mandy Taylor
Office Manager
Our Office Manager was born, raised, and resides in Massillon with her husband, Aaron, and their beloved pup-princess, Mela. They have 2 adult children, and together they own and run a small family business, also located in Massillon.
Prior to joining us in 2021, Mandy spent 15 years in the restaurant business and has welcomed the change of pace that transitioning to the funeral business has offered.

Mela Mae Taylor
Director of Employee Morale
Our Director of Employee Morale is typically in the office four days a week, as she believes in a quality work/life balance. Mela has been on staff since she made her way from the Stark County Humane Society to the Taylor household in November of 2023.
In her free time, Mela enjoys long walks, car rides with her snout out, and extra treats. Mela thoroughly enjoys being on hand to greet our families, and delivery drivers, and to comfort our families when needed.
