Elizabeth "Betty" Lancaster
Age 77, of Magnolia, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, June 19, 2012, in Aultman Compassionate Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Magnolia, a daughter of the late Rocco and Carmella (Logozzo) Faiello, and was a life resident. Betty was a 1952 graduate of Magnolia High School. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, where she participated in many church activities, and was most proud of being in the choir for many years. Betty will long be remembered by so many for her sewing talents, as well as her cooking talents. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching her sons and grandchildren play, as well as all Cleveland teams and Ohio State. Among the many qualities and attributes that Betty possessed, being a generous and kind person to all, a loving and devoted mother to her seven sons, and a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Roy, for over 42 years, are among her greatest accomplishments. Preceded in death by her husband, Roy, on Jan. 22, 1997, and three sisters and three brothers, Rose Pentello, Virginia Rose, Mary Xides, Louis, Orlie and Art Faiello. Survived by seven loving sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Lisa Lancaster, Chris and Heather Lancaster, Mike and Susan Lancaster, Rod and Paula Lancaster, Greg and Debbie Lancaster, Steve and Dianna Lancaster, and Tim and Shelley Lancaster; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandsons, Augie Lancaster, Cara (Jeremy) Sanders and their son, Jackson, Erin Lancaster and Paul Baker and his son, Alex, Brandon and Sarah Lancaster, Nicolle and Allysa lancaster, Ryan and Andrew Lancaster, Nate and Lauren Lancaster, Spencer, Kalen, Emerson, and Presley Lancaster; four sisters and four brothers, Agnes (Chuck) Larson, Pat (Maris) Faiello, Nancy (Gary) Neisel, Dave (Judy) Faiello, Mike (Nina) Faiello, Dick Faiello, Anne (Dave) Boyd, and Vicki (Glenn) Albright; also numerous nieces and nephews. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary, her nephew Fr. Richard Pentello, Fr. Mike Seifert, and Fr. Thomas Dyer as Celebrants. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at ST. JAMES CATHOLIC CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty's memory may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 400 W. Lisbon St., Waynesburg, OH 44688. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Memorial 6 South at Aultman Hospital and Aultman Conpassionate Care Center, for the wonderful and loving care they gave to Betty.
