My deepest sympathy to Jolene and the Grimsley family on the loss of such a kind man. The first time Jolene introduced me to her dad he started teasing and being ornery like he knew me forever...I loved it. You only had to meet Whiz once to know how much he cared for his family. It was a real pleasure to have known him.
Glenda, Jolene and the Grimsley family will be in my prayers at this time of sorry.

Kristen was one of my closest and valued friends. I had the pleasure of being around Whiz, Glenda and the entire Grimsley clan for almost 20 years. Though he had many kids of his own Whiz always made me feel like I was one of his own. My heart breaks for all of the Grimsley family for the pain of losing such a wonderful, loving man like Whiz. I hope to be half the family man Whiz was. He was definitely a true role model, someone I feel you could definitely look up to and hope to be. Im so sorry for Kristen, Glenda, and the entire Grimsley family. His family and everyone who had the pleasure knowing him has suffered the loss of one of their true heroes.

So sorry to see of your loss Glenda. I know how you must feel. I went through the same in 2003 when I lost my husband Jim. You will always remember your good times times together. After awhile it gets better with God's help. Remembering the good times with your children will help a lot. My children and I still talk about things and sayings that Jim did.

God Bless the Family of Mr. Grimsley. This man was a very good dude and always stopped for a conversation about the Bulldogs. I played with Ed and Doug and been around Dan for a long time. Mrs. Grimsley is a very sweet lady and try to keep that smile on your face like you always do at the games. Keep this family in prayer. Go Pups

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Grimsley Family. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart & lean not to our understanding. "
Message from Art Mathieu
March 22, 2017 6:56 PM

I wanted to offer condolences to Aunt Glenda and all of the Grimsley family from the Mathieu's.
Uncle Whiz was a truly great person. He always made you feel like family from his greeting of "what are doing boy" to his great sense of humor. I really appreciated when he and Aunt Glenda visited my Dad when he was in Hospice.
I always tried to get Uncle Whiz to talk about his adventures. My two favorite topics were his encounters with unruly Steeler fans and his stories about the summer he worked at the nursing home with my Dad -- I can still hear them imitating some of the characters they ran into. R.I.P Uncle Whiz.
