Very sorry for your loss! I remember the James from my mom, & dad, George, & Helen Rankin of Carrollton. I would see them many times at the Yacht Club. Dick always had a smile on his face, & was very kind to me as a young girl! He lived a wonderful, long life, & I know will be be very much missed by his family, & friends. God Bless!!

Living only two doors South, being the family paperboy for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, all the years of mowing his yard, I could never have asked for a better person and family to live in the same neighborhood with,he will truly be missed, my heart goes out to all of the family members

Mr. James was a Legend in our Community. We send our Prayers and Thoughts to his family. He inspired many with his vast knowledge. I never forgot delivering the newspaper as a young man. He always required my report card when collecting for the Times Reporter before paying. My mom always asked what took so long collecting. I always told her I was getting educated by Mr. James. LOL! He Truly cared about others, and was always interested in discussing what my goals in life were. He inspired me in life, and I always gave this very successful business man my full Respect. He played a very important roll in the efforts of restoring the Canal along with my Uncle Jim Crowe. And although my wife only knew him after we married she always Loved seeing Mr. James on a regular basis at Tozzi's in Magnolia.
Although we will be out of town during his calling hours, and Memorial service we want the Family to know you will be in our thoughts prayers.
RIP Mr. James, and a job well done! You left a very memorable Legacy.
