Pauline V. Reed

Pauline V. Reed  1924-2016 

Age 91, of Waynesburg, passed away Sat., Oct. 22, 2016.  She was born in East Sparta, a daughter of the late Luther and Virginia (Myers) Herstine, and was a life resident of the Sandy Valley area.  Pauline was a 1942 graduate of Waynesburg High School.  She was retired from Elsass Ben Franklin Store in Waynesburg, and previously worked at Muckley Orchards.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Magnolia.  Preceded in death besides her parents was her husband of 63 years, Harvey L. Reed, on Oct. 3, 2010, a son Dick Reed, on August 9, 2014, and four brothers, John, Max, Paul, and Stanton Herstine.  She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Ginny and Mike Barthel, of East Canton; one son and two daughters-in-law, Greg and Diane Reed, of Waynesburg, and Annette Reed, of  Louisville; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Mayrene and Landel “Boze” Offenberger, of Waynesburg; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Herstine, of Sandyville, James and Rosemary Herstine, of Magnolia, and Lynn and Paige Herstine, of Waynesburg; also numerous nieces and nephews.  Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church in Magnolia with Pastor J.
