Karen L. Switzer   1957 - 2017

Age 60, of North Canton, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017.  She was born in Avon Lake, OH, a daughter of the late William and Florence Chandler, and had been a resident of the Canton area since 2000.  Karen was a 1975 graduate of Avon Lake High School.  She was a former employee of Fisher Big Wheel in Avon Lake and was a 16 year employee of Fisher Foods in Canton.  Karen loved her cats and had nine over her life.  She is survived by her long-time partner of 16 years, David R. Williams; David’s sons, David “Dusty” and Heather Williams, of Charleston, SC, and Ted Williams and Rachel DePompa, and their children Jaxson Lincoln and Caroline Quinn, of Richmond, VA; her close friends, Carol and Frank Harrison, of Sheffield Lake, OH; and numerous other friends in this area.  Friends may call Sunday 2-4 p.m. at the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in North Lawn Cemetery with Pastor John Hayward officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Karen’s memory may be made to the Aultman Medical Clinic Foundation, 6046 Whipple Ave. NW, North Canton, OH 44720, to help with her extreme medical expenses.  Condolences may be sent to: gordonfuneralhomes.com
