Walter C. Bratka, Jr.,
Age 75, of Canton, passed away Wed., Jan. 25, 2023. He was born Apr. 1, 1947, in Canton, a son of the late Walter Bratka, Sr., and Charlotte (Nesbitt) Biedenbach. Walt served with the U.S. Navy Reserve, was a member of Faith Community Church, bowled for the Smith’s Market team, and retired as a Certified Nurses Assistant. Preceded in death by his sister, Patty Dawn Bratka, and his brother, David Bratka. Survived by Rose Monnot; his son and daughter-in-law, Randal (Branita) Bratka; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Crystal Miraglia, and Melody (Kenny) Elliott; one brother, Mark Bratka; two grandchildren, Joshua Bratka and Victoria Bratka (Derrick George); one great granddaughter, Nadia George; Amanda, Wayne, and Chloe Slease; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Sat., Feb. 25, in Faith Community Church with Pastor Elden Smith officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service, from 10-11 am, in the church. The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
