Verla Ann Allen

Age 69, of Waynesburg, passed away Sunday, Nov. 19,2023.  She was born August 10, 1954 in Braxton County, WV, a daughter of the late Mark and Garnette (Cook) King, and had been a resident of Canton and Waynesburg most of her life.  Verla was a 1972 graduate of Timken High School, and also a graduate of the Mansfield Business College.  She was retired from Hendrickson Trailer Systems, where she  had been a receptionist for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark King, Jr.  Verla is survived by her long-time companion, Gino Carubia; two children, Annmarie Foster and Carl Allen II, and grandchildren; two sisters, Sherry (Kevin) McCollam and Darla Eubanks, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Gary Smith, Celebrant, officiating.  Friends may call Friday 10-11 a.m. before the service.  Entombment will be in the Carubia Family Mausoleum in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to:  www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
