Obituary

Troy D. Davis

Age 88, of Massillon, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022.  He was born March 5, 1934 in Pike County, KY, a son of the late Tom and Florence (Coleman) Davis, resided with his daughter and son-in-law the past year, previously residing in Citrus Springs, FL 12 years and Waynesburg prior to that.  Troy was a self-employed truck driver and auto mechanic, and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Waynesburg.  He honorably served in the U. S. Army.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Carol Davis, in 1996, and a son, Troy Davis, Jr. on Nov. 14, 2020.  He is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Nick) Zorbas, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Delbrugge, and their daughter, Kylie, Troy D. (Amanda) Davis III, and their son Keith, and John Davis, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Davis, a sister, Ann Warren, and a step-brother, James Roberts.

 A graveside service with Military Honors will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in New Cumberland Cemetery with Pastor Raymond Stanley officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
