Rodney E. “Skip” Stallman
Age 79, of Waynesburg, passed away in his sleep on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021. Rodney was born in Canton on March 11, 1942, a son of the late Glen and Betty (Everhart) Stallman. Skip graduated from Canton South High School in 1961, and married Pamela K. Stauffer on May 25, 1963. He drove straight truck and tractor-trailer for R.E. Slutz Trucking for 29years, drove straight truck for Clyde Slutz for three years, and drove for Mighty Tire for eleven years. Skip also farmed and raised white-faced Hereford cattle for 47 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Rachel (Greg) Stallman. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pamela; his sons, Greg (Jennifer) Stallman and Guy (Claressa) Stallman; grandchildren, Julie (Mark) Oswald, Samantha (Joel) Wallick, Bryce Stallman, and Addyson Stallman; three great-grandchildren; his sister, Patricia Halter; nephew, Eric (Cynthia) Halter, nieces, Kristen (David) Boice and Tara Halter.
A Memorial Service will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Peggy Garner officiating. Friends may call Sat. 10-11 a.m. before the service. Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
