RICHARD E. “DICK” DAVIS,
Age 90, of Waynesburg, passed away Wed., Mar. 31, 2021. Born Feb. 4, 1931, in Canton, a son of the late Ivan and Blanche (Geiser) Davis. Dick retired from Frito-Lay in 1995 as a truck driver and was a member of the Fellowship of the Little Country Church in Waynesburg. Dick was an avid fan of NASCAR and enjoyed mowing his lawn, Ford cars and trips to Daytona Beach, Washington state and Branson. He enjoyed family reunions, spending time with old friends and was always making new friends. Survived by his wife, Martha (Speakman) Davis, with whom he would have celebrated their 69th Wedding Anniversary on May 31st; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dan Neary; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Beth Davis, and Steve and Jane Davis; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Emmogene Akers, and Gladys Jane and Don Oaks; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Chad) Jordan, John (Allison) Davis, Jeremy (Victoria) Davis, and Allison, Andrew and Matthew Neary; and one great grandson, Blake Davis. Dick loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially his great grandson, Blake. Private family services will be held Saturday in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia, with Pastor Ted Knapp officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
