Obituary

Ray W. Baum

 Age 89, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023.  He was born May 2, 1934 in Bolivar, a son of the late Elijah and Edna (Motts) Baum, and had been a resident of the Magnolia area since 1962.  Ray was a 1962 graduate of East Sparta High School, and was a retired employee of The Timken Company. He was a member of Shepherd of The Valley Lutheran Church and honorably served in the U. S. Army.

 In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Baum, on Sept. 23, 2018; three sisters and six brothers, Marie Little, Doris Farber, June Fiddler, Chester, Paul, Delbert, Robert, Elijah, Jr., and Virgil Baum. He is survived by a sister and brother, Barbara (Don) Harper and Glen Baum, and many nieces and nephews.

 There will be no services or visitation and a private interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville. The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements.
