Randall Mosley Obituary

Randall Lee Mosley,

died Nov. 13, 2021 surrounded by his family at Memorial Central Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado after a short battle with cancer.  Randall was born on June 10, 1940 in Malvern, Ohio to Betty Marie Mosley (Stoltz) and Arvel E. Mosley.  He spent his childhood in Carroll and Stark counties.  Randall served 9 years in the United States Army from 1958 to 1967.  While in the Army, Randall married Frances Jane Godfrey of Canton, Ohio on July 16, 1960 in Louisville, Ohio.  After leaving the Army, Randall and Jane lived in the Dellroy, Ohio area.  They moved to Colorado in 1985, ultimately settling near Florissant.  With the exception of a return to Ohio for several years, Randall and Jane lived in Florissant for the remainder of their lives.  Randall worked in the auto parts and tool manufacturing industries in Ohio, and was a gold miner and casino slot technician in Colorado until his retirement in 2002.  Randall had several hobbies.  He was a gifted leatherworker.  He could create nearly any design on leather and used his talents to create purses, wallets, belts, and other decorative items for family and friends.  Randall also enjoyed woodworking and gold panning.  He and Jane spent many hours driving the backroads of the Colorado mountains looking for places to pan for gold.  Randall was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 51 years, Frances Jane Mosley (Godfrey), his oldest son, Jeffrey Scott Mosley, and his sister Dawn Smith.  He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Marie Owen, of Cripple Creek, Colorado, and his sons Kelvin Blake Mosley (Colleen) of Leonardtown, Maryland, and Mark Alan Mosley (Denise) of Dellroy, Ohio.  He is also survived by his sister, Sherry Wood, of Dover, Ohio, 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.  There will be a Memorial Gathering for Randall on Tues., Nov. 23, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at the Dellroy Community Hall on the corner of Main Street (SR 39) and North Ohio Street, Dellroy, Ohio 44620. Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
