Age 80, of Canton, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2023. He was born Jan. 14, 1943 in Canton, a son of the late Walter and Beatrice (Haines) Cogan, and was a life resident. Mike was retired from the A. L. Pavey Company where he was a salesman, and had previously worked at Superior Meats for twenty years. He was a member of the Tri County Classic Car Club, and owned several classic cars, including a 1954 Morris Minor, 1956 Chevy pick-up, 1929 Ford Model A, and a 1947 Ford Coupe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Ronnie Cogan. Mike is survived by his wife, Edna “Edie” Cogan, with whom he celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 27th last year, his son, Michael (Michelle) Cogan, a granddaughter, Samantha Swab, and a sister, Helen.
Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. A Celebration of Life Cruise-In has been scheduled for Friday, June 23, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. at Richville Community Park in Navarre, OH. Condolences may be made to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
