Mary C. Reichard
Age 88, of East Canton, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021. She was born December 5, 1932 in Canton, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Gleckler) Boltres, and had been an East Canton resident since 1952. Mary was a 1951 graduate of East Canton High School. She had worked at Kress IGA in East Canton many years, and also at Colton Hardware and Town & Country IGA. Mary was a member of St. James Catholic Church where she was in charge of the funeral dinners for many years, and was one of the craft ladies. She also enjoyed crocheting, baking and gardening. Mostly though, she felt taking care of Gene was a happy accomplishment.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bob Kilpatrick. Mary is survived by her husband, Gene Reichard, with whom she celebrated their 69th Wedding Anniversary on May 14th, two daughters and three sons, Dee Ann (David) DeWalt, Cathy Kilpatrick, Gene (Michelle) Reichard, Doug (Karen) Reichard, and Bryan (Dawn) Reichard, 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Peggy (Alan) Crocker and Kay Rine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sat. at 1 p.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Friends may call Sat. 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. Interment will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 400 West Lisbon St., Waynesburg, OH 44688.
