Obituary

Marlene L. Page

Age 86, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023.  She was born September 22, 1936, in Malvern, OH, a daughter of the late Delmar and Ethel (Kirkbride) Whalen, and resided in Canton most of her life. Marlene was a 1954 graduate of Canton South High School and had worked over 50 years for LT & Associates Unclaimed Freight as a cashier.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Edwin Page, on July 2, 1999, a daughter, Karen Proudfoot, a grandson, Joshua McDonald, and she was the last of her five siblings, Nancy Toth, Johnny, Jimmy, Tommy, and Billy Whalen. Marlene is survived by two daughters and a son, Krista (Joseph) DePalmo, Vicki Shoenfelt, and Gregg (Elaine) Page; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Amy Downard, Celebrant, officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marlene's name may be made to the American Heart Association at https://www.heart.org/donate
