Lum E. Keenan
Age 74, of Mineral City, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021. He was born August 8, 1947 in Hugheston, WV, a son of the late Clayton and Alma (Rucker) Keenan, and had been a Mineral City resident since 1972. He was a 1969 graduate of Cedar Grove, WV High School. Lum retired in 2007 from The Timken Co. after 30 years’ service, where he was a stocker. He was a member of Caldwell Lodge #330, F. & A.M. in Bolivar. Lum honorably served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Keenan. Lum is survived by his wife, Beverly J. Keenan, with whom he celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary on April 14th; one daughter, Jennifer Keenan Barrick; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Ryann Keenan, and her children, Josie and Jessa, Douglas Wallick, and his daughter, Ellie, Zachary (Caitlyn) Wallick, and their children, Rogan and Gianna, and Ezra (Brooke Davis) Barrick; two brothers, Hank (Shirley) Keenan and Rick Keenan, and two nieces who were raised as his sisters, Becky (Jim) Drake and Alma (Kim) Bowles.
Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Bob Smith officiating. Friends may call Friday 12-1 p.m. before the service.
