Lori Ann Borne was a compassionate wife, mother, “Mimi”, daughter, sister, and friend.
She was born to Jane and the late Ralph Hockenberry on July 20, 1961, raised in Waynesburg, and graduated from Sandy Valley Highschool. Lori worked many jobs in her life, but most recently spent her time caring for sick people in their homes. She was a member of Indian Run Christian Church and Alcoholics Anonymous, where she served diligently as the Waynesburg Meeting’s Secretary/Treasurer for several years. Survived by her husband, Dan Borne; one daughter and son-in-law, Alisha and James Brandenburg; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Roger Austin, and Diane and Gary Phelps; and two granddaughters, Penelope and Greta.
Lori died on July 16, 2023 in her home near Magnolia, after a devastating battle with Colon Cancer, at the age of 61. A Celebration of Life will be held Sat. Aug. 12, 2023 at 2 pm in Indian Run Christian Church. Casual, comfortable attire. All are welcome. Submit pictures or questions to Alisha @ alisha.brandenburg@yahoo.com.
