Larry Brinkley
Age 80, of Hartville, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023. He was born Feb. 18, 1943 in Richmond, VA, a son of the late Clyde and Iva (Carpenter) Brinkley, and resided most of his life in the Canton area. Larry was a 1961 graduate of Lehman High School. He enjoyed working at Ewing Chevrolet for 42 years in the Parts Department, and made many friends that have lasted a lifetime. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association, and loved going to car shows with his cars and friends. He loved his cars, which included a 62’ Chevy, 40’ Chevy, 51’ Plymouth, and a 66’ El Camino.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother, Mary Rohe, Barbara Brown, Judy Brinkley, and Jack Brinkley. Larry is survived by his wife, Bonnie Brinkley, with whom he would have celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 12th; one daughter, Laura (Devin) Plymire, and their sons, Blake and Benjamin; nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Andy Brown.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Fr. Christopher Henyk officiating. Friends may call Thursday two hours before the service.
