Kenneth N. Lewis
Age 83, of Canton, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2021. He was born April 19, 1938 in Canton, a son of the late Leslie and Pearl (Fetter) Lewis, and was a life resident of the Canton area. Kenny was a 1956 graduate of McKinley High School. He retired in Dec. of 1999 from the U. S. Postal Service, after 42 years as a Letter Carrier. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and the National Association of Letter Carriers. Kenny was a huge McKinley Bulldog fan and was a member of the Bulldog Athletic Association and the Hall of Fame Luncheon Club. He had been a softball umpire for many years, and was honored by induction into the Softball Hall of Fame in 2006. The retirement years included traveling and cruises. He also enjoyed McKinley games and any events involving the grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Perdue. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine A. Lewis; three daughters, Jennifer Stutler, Laurie Redinger, and Sarah (Mike) James; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Tristan Stutler, Karli Redinger, Alex Platt, Gannon George, Cody (Tiffany) James, and their children, Chloe and Cyrus, Conner (Kasey) James, and Corey James; his sister Janet’s children, Linda Quinn, Cindy & Mark Roman, and David & Betsy Perdue; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be held Sat. at 1 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin K. Thomas officiating. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
