Judith M. Arrington
Age 78, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021. She was born Feb. 26, 1943 in Mexico City, Mexico, a daughter of the late Jerome and Jane (Turner) Breen. Judy was raised on The Rancho El Canelo in San Fernando, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and was a resident of Waynesburg and Canton most of her life. She was a graduate of the American School Foundation in Mexico City, a 1964 graduate of the Knapp College of Nursing in Santa Barbara, CA, and a 1984 graduate of Walsh University with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Judy was a Registered Nurse in Geriatric Care, retiring from Hanover House as a Supervisor after 16 years’ service. Judy served in the U. S. Army Reserves as a Field Medic, Sgt. E-5. Judy found joy in helping others, carrying kindness and compassion wherever she went. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the Lazarus Society, Vestry, Spiritual Formation Community, Head of the kitchen, founding member of the Hot Lunch Outreach Program, Daughters of the King, and a healer. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Arrington, and a sister, Carol Collinsworth. She is survived by two daughters, Jennie (Timothy) Strubel and Bonnie Lewton, a son, Daniel (Janet) Lewton, seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and a brother, Jerome Breen, Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held Sat., July 24, 2021 at 11 a.m., in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Fr. Phil Kunder officiating. The family will receive friends before the service. Judy will be entombed in St. Paul’s Columbarium. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hot Lunch Outreach Program at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 425 Cleveland Ave. SW, Canton, OH 44702.
