 It is with great sadness we share that John Stark McCall Jr, 76, of Waynesburg, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023.  John was preceded in death by his parents, John Stark McCall Sr. and Mary (Margo) McCall Immel. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mimi W. McCall, beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Noah Szporn of New Jersey, Sarah and Doug Trueman of Pennsylvania and six grandchildren, who were the light of his life, Anna, Benjamin and Ellie Szporn and Jonah, Hannah and Gabrielle Trueman.
He is also survived by his brother Jeff McCall and sister-in-law, Nancy McCall of Florida.
  He was born on August 12, 1946, and was a lifelong resident of Stark County. John attended Glenwood High School before graduating from Valley Forge Military Academy in 1965. He continued his education at The Ohio State University, Franklin University, Xavier University, and Akron University, where he earned his Bachelors, MBA and JD degrees.  John was an attorney and partner at the law firm of Lesh, Casner and Miller.  His hobbies and interests were many. John was an enthusiastic golfer and enjoyed spending time on the links, especially the 19th hole. Many of his closest friendships and favorite stories came from his days on the golf course.  John had an insatiable appetite for learning and was an avid reader, as evidenced by the numerous books and newspapers that surrounded him.  Music was a passion of John's, and he loved playing the piano at family gatherings over the years.  He had an infectious laugh and will be remembered for his sense of humor and warm smile.  John's devotion to his family, community, church, career, hobbies and entrepreneurial endeavors will live in the memories of many. He will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and warmth.
  Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 24th from 4:00-7:00 at Finefrock-Gordon Funeral home in Magnolia. A Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of John's life will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant.  Interment will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. James Catholic Church, 400 W.
