Obituary

John E. Crowder

Age 76, of Canton, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023.  He was born May 21, 1947 in Canton, a son of the late John W. and Ann (Stern) Crowder, and was a life resident.  John was a 1965 graduate of Glenwood High School. He worked for the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities as Manager of the Community Works Program and as a Work Employment Specialist. He was a member and President of the Cleveland Indians Wahoo Club.  John proudly served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Her is survived by Juli Crowder, one daughter, Angela Thomas, one son, John G. Crowder; three grandchildren and two great-grandsons, Haley Crowder, Meghan Crowder, and Justin (Paige) Crowder, and their sons, Justin, Jr. and Colt.

Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Shultz officiating.  Interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with Full Honors. Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
