John R. Crisp,

Age 71, of Canton, passed away Sat., Jan. 11, 2025.  He was born Dec. 23, 1953, in Canton, a son of the late Blaine and Alice (Eakin) Crisp. John served in the United States Marine Corp and retired from United Rolls as a bricklayer. John loved sports and enjoyed golfing, participated in bowling leagues for many years, and loved to play basketball and softball in his younger years. He was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by one brother, Brian Crisp, his father-in-law, Donald Copeland, Sr., and two brothers-in-law, Donald Copeland, Jr., and David Copeland.

Survived by his wife, Susan Crisp; two daughters, Krystal (Eric Holzer) Crisp, and Brittany (Shane) Hartzell; four grandchildren, Mason Holzer, Isla Hartzell, Everett Hartzell, and Paisley Holzer; six sisters, Sandra (Steve) Toney, Penny (Jerry) Odey, Linda (Steve) Khourey, Elizabeth Rousseau, Mary Hochwarter and Kelly (Jesse) Porter; one brother, James (Kathy) Crisp; his mother-in-law, JoAnn Copeland; three sisters-in-law, Linda (Jack) Bramlett, Stacy (John) Pero, and Jackie (David) Copeland; two brothers-in-law, Carl (Cathy) Copeland, and William (Anita) Copeland; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bella. John will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 18th from 2pm-6pm at SAM Center- 8101 Manchester Ave NW, Canal Fulton, OH 44614.
