JoAnn B. Gintz
age 86, of Sandyville, passed away Sat., March 27, 2021. She was born Jan. 7, 1935 in Sandyville, a daughter of the late William and Ethel (Geckler) Judd, and was a resident of the Sandyville, Magnolia and Mineral City area all her life. JoAnn was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Magnolia and also the Auxiliary of Carr-Bailey American Legion Post e#519 in Mineral City, which she served as President for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Cletus N. “Red” Gintz, on Dec. 18, 1998, four sisters and two brothers, Donna Hayhurst, Beulah House, Maxine Ley, Evelyn Judd, Homer and William Judd. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved. Services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Magnolia with Pastor Andrew Riggs officiating. Friends may call Thursday 10-11 a.m. at the church before the service. Interment will be in German Cemetery in Mineral City. Social Distancing and facial covering will be observed. In lieu of flowers, contributions in JoAnn’s memory may be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, PO Box 464, Magnolia, OH 44643. The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements.
