Age 68, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023. He was born April 26, 1955 in Canton, a son of the late Wendell and Margaret “Peg” (Hawkins) Rice, and was a life resident. Todd was a 1973 graduate of Jackson High School. He had been a salesman of dental products and eyeglasses for over forty years .While growing up, he helped his dad at Rice's Pharmacy in Lake Cable. He was a member of Church of The Lakes. Todd had been a volunteer fireman for the Jackson Fire Department. He really enjoyed his cars, music, waterskiing, his dogs, and his pontoon boat on Lake Cable.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Heidi Brown. Todd is survived by his wife, Teree (Tremelling) Rice, with whom he celebrated their 39th Wedding Anniversary on June 2nd; three children, Haley and John Becker, and their children, Addison and John Jeffrey, Grayson Rice and Tanner Rice; his mother-in-law, Betty G. Tremelling; one sister and one brother, Wendy and Scott Lloyd, and Colin and Harriet Rice; a brother-in-law, Paul Brown; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Loree and Roy King, who were so helpful to Todd.
Services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 11 a.m. in Church of The Lakes, with Pastor Bryan George officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall during a Celebration of Life. Private interment will be in Warstler Cemetery.
