Harry K. Mitchell
Age 90, of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021. He was born Feb. 13, 1930 in Akron, a son of the late John and Mildred (Pownall) Mitchell, and had been a Massillon resident many years. Harry earned a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and was the Founder and Owner of Mitchell Piping, Inc. Harry was physically active and worked out many years, and was proud to be so physically fit. He also was proud of his many accomplishments, and was generous to a fault. He honorably served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was in the 101st Airborne division. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Mitchell, a son, Gregory Mitchell, and six brothers and sisters. Harry is survived by his wife, Judy D. Sickafoose Mitchell, one step-daughter, Kim (Steve) Nicholson, three step-sons, Dave (Debra) Faiello, Rocco (Cindy) Faiello, and Troy (Tanya) Faiello, six grandchildren, Tara, Scotty, Nick, Melissa, Maria, and Michelle, many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, and two brothers, John (Pat) Mitchell and Bill (Marilyn) Mitchell.
