Earl “Mike” Beggs
Age 78, of East Canton, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023. He was born July 23, 1945 in Canton, a son of the late Carl and Helen (Petrune) Beggs, and was a life resident of this area. Mike was retired from The Timken Co. after 23 years’ service in the Bearing Factory. He honorably served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was a member of VFW Post #232 in Carrollton and the DAV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Carl “Butch” Beggs, Chuck Beggs, Louise Cowles, and Jane Rickenbrod. Mike is survived by his wife, Lucy Beggs, with whom he celebrated their 37th Wedding Anniversary on March 12th, and a daughter, Soren Beggs.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Warstler Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
