Daniel W. Lutz
Age 78, of Bolivar, passed away Wed., Dec. 22, 2021. He was born May 21, 1943 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Ralph S. and Alice (Hoppe) Lutz, and had been a Bolivar resident since 1990, previously Mineral City and Canton. Dan was the retired self-employed owner of Kleentek Environmental, a Haz Mat Cleaning Co. He was a member of Mineral City United Methodist Church, where he was a Lay Leader, Caldwell Lodge #330, F. & A.M., the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton, Tadmor Temple, and Bolivar Chapter #368, Order of Eastern Star, which he had served as Worthy Patron many times. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel and David Lutz, a sister and brother, Cathy Barkes and Ralph Lutz. Dan is survived by his wife, Kathy Lutz, with whom he celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 14th, one daughter and one son, Linda Kazak and Steven (Joyce) Lutz, a grandson, Cole Lee Lutz, and a half-brother, Calvin (Carol) Smith.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Bob Smith officiating. Friends may call Monday 5-7 p.m. Order of Eastern Star Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, and Masonic Services will be held at 6:45 p.m. Monday. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dan’s memory may be made to Mineral City United Methodist Church, 4821 Davis St., Mineral City, OH 44656.
