Daniel L. Canter, Sr.
Age 56, of Canton, passed away Sat., May 15, 2021, after a brave battle with cancer. He was born August 5, 1964 in Canton, a son of the late Roy and Catherine (Shreves) Canter, and was a life resident of this area. Danny was a 1983 graduate of Canton South High School, and had been employed by Walmart. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a big Harley Davidson fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Rodney and Willis Canter, Paternal grandparents, James Canter, Michael and Esther Strogen, and Maternal grandparents, James and Virginia Shreves. Danny is survived by his companion, Amanda Canter, two daughters and one son, Virginia (Levi) Cooper, his pride and joy Miracle Canter, and Daniel L. Canter, Jr., two step-sons, John Grubbs and Levi Grim, five grandchildren, Daniel L. Canter III, Oceana Boucher, Skye Canter, Michael Turner, and Brock Rodgers, three sisters, Diania Canter, Tina Burns, and Ronda (Jason Gibson) Canter, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Queen Williams officiating. Friends may call Friday 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home before the service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville.
