Charles M. Haney
Age 78, of Mineral City, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021. He was born August 5, 1942 in Canton, a son of the late John and Wilda (Cottrill) Haney, and was a Mineral City resident since 1975. Chuck was a 1961 graduate of Sandy Valley High School. He retired in 2011 from PCC Airfoils after 46 years’ service where he was a furnace operator. Chuck had worked with the local Boy Scouts for ten years. He and his wife enjoyed traveling extensively to Las Vegas and other venues in their younger years. But mostly they adored their grandchildren and spending time with them.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years, Carolyn S. Haney, on August 24, 2017, three brothers and five sisters, John, Jack, and Danny Haney, Leola Griffith, Clara King, Vista Willaman, and twins Geneva Davis and Jeannette Haney. Chuck is survived by two daughters, and one son, Dana Lane, Susan (Dennis) Waller, and Jeffrey (Rebecca) Haney, four grandchildren, Charles Hayden (Kaylee) Waller, Carolyn Emily (Elijah) Webb, Kate Waller, and Madison Lane, one sister, one brother, and two sisters-in-law.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Robert King officiating. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Baxter’s Ridge Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
