Charles M. Colvin
Age 66, of Bolivar, passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023. He was born Jan. 30, 1956 in Louisa, KY, a son of Joyce (McKinster) Colvin and the late Charles E. Colvin, and had resided in Canton before moving to Bolivar 35 years ago. Chuck was a 1974 graduate of Canton Lincoln High School. He retired in 2019 from Timken Steel after 45 years’ service as scrap service supervisor.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Bob and Pat Edmison, and a sister-in-law, Tammie Cochran. Surviving besides his mother, is his wife, Bertie Colvin, with whom he celebrated their 27th Wedding Anniversary July 10th, one sister and two brothers, Angela (Leo) Shirkey, Ricky and Mark Colvin; a sister-in-law, Sue (Ernie) Barnett, and brother-in-law, Dr. Jeff (Ramona) Cochran; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey (Kara) Cochran, and their children, Fiona and Levi, Matt (Nikki) Cochran, and their soon to be born baby girl, Terri (Pete) Manthey, and their triplets, Grace, Emma, and Christopher, Chrystal Colvin, Marcus Colvin, and Gabby Shirkey; and his furry best friend, Morty.
Services will be held Sat., Feb. 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan George officiating.
