Carolyn J. Nicholson,
Age 86, of Magnolia, passed away Wed., Oct. 25, 2023. She was born Nov. 1, 1936, in Sterling, OH, a daughter of the late Harold “Scotty” and Marjorie (Sickafoose) Comber. Carolyn was a 1954 graduate of Magnolia High School, retired as a mail carrier for the Magnolia Post Office, and was a member of Magnolia Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jerry Nicholson on Mar. 4, 2012, her brother, James Comber, infant brother Scotty Comber, her son-in-law, Stan Winters, and her daughter-in-law, Sheryl Nicholson.
Survived by two daughters, Wendy Winters, and Amy Welker; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Steven (Kim) Nicholson, and Scott Nicholson; one sister, Kathleen Webb; and nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, Ike (Charity) Winters and their children, Alison and Gracyn, Amy Winters, Tojh (Brooke) Nicholson and their children, Peyton, Trey, Harper, and Carmen, Kyle (Maria) Nicholson and their children, Skylar and Cade, Carli (Tanner) Bower, Tabitha (Andrew) Wilhelm and their children, Ella and McKenzie, Lucas (Cortney Roby) Nicholson and their children, Trisen, Benjamin and Noah, Cody (Maia) Welker and their son, Cooper, and Morgan (Jake) Kail and their children, Rena and Declan. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Hattie’s House for the outstanding special care they gave to Carolyn.
Services will be held Tues. at 11 am in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Matthew Garrabrant officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.
