Carol Jean Troup
Age 82, of North Canton, passed away Sat., March 12, 2022. She was born Jan. 31, 1940 in Canton, a daughter of the late George and Edna (Long) Snyder, and was a life resident of this area. Carol was a 1958 graduate of McKinley High School. She was a Dental receptionist for Dr. Lynn Bates and Dr. Jim Colopy, and later on worked at Bob Evans and Cracker Barrel. She was a member of Shady Hollow and Congress Lake where she and her husband Walt played golf. They also wintered in Estero, Fl where they played golf at Wildcat Run.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of eleven years, Walter Troup, on April 23, 2006, two sisters and two brothers, Irene Canterbury, Vera Dillman, Charles Snyder and George “Buck” Snyder. Carol Jean is survived by three daughters, Kimberly (David) Hosack, Kristine (David) Geisberger, and Amy (Todd) Tyler, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
Services will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Chris King officiating. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
