Bonnie L. Barnes

Age 74, of Marlboro Township, passed away Sat., October 28, 2023.  She was born August 23, 1949 in Canton, a daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel (Vaughn) Eshelman, and was raised in Marlboro Township.  Bonnie was a 1967 graduate of Marlington High School and a graduate of the Aultman School of Nursing.  After becoming a Registered Nurse, she started at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland.  She spent over 30 years at Aultman Hospital working in Cardiology and as a floor Nurse.  The last years of her career she taught first year Physicians at both Aultman and Mercy Hospitals.  She had attended Trinity Gospel Temple. Bonnie grew up on a farm and loved riding her horses.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Randy V. Barnes, with whom she would have celebrated their 19th Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 30th; one daughter, Danyelle (Rod) Sweitzer, two sons, Steve (Kristen) Barnes and Jeff (Carley) Barnes, eight grandchildren; one sister and one brother, Diane Eshelman and Dale (Margaret) Eshelman.

Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Dana Gammill officiating.  Friends may call Wed. one hour before the service, from 10-11 a.m.  Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery in Pike Township.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bonnie’s memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association, P.O.
