Barbara E. Houck

Age 76, of Canton, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born June 1, 1946 in Canton, a daughter of the late Charles and Eylene (Nist) Cobb, and was a life resident.  Barbara was a 1964 graduate of Perry High School, and retired in 2009 from Omni Die Casting where she was an Administrative Assistant.  She was a member of New Way United Methodist Church and played in her card club with friends for many years.

  In addition to her parents Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, James W. Houck, on March 14, 2005.  She is survived by three sons, Daniel (Lori) Houck, Ty Houck, and Timothy (Stephanie) Houck, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Jason (Erin) Houck, and their children, Sebastian and Emma, Samantha Houck, and her children, Adeline, Coraline, and Erwin, Seth, Joshua, Andrew, Genevieve, Jackson, and Henry Houck, one sister, Linda (Joe) Belopotosky, and their daughter, Mandy (Jon) Hegal.

 Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Brown officiating.  Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m.  Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
