Andrew G. Olen

Age 74, of Waynesburg, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021.  He was born June 29, 1947 in Canton, a son of the late Andrew R. and Alice (Hart) Olen, was raised in Minerva, and has resided in Waynesburg almost forty years.  Andy was a 1967 graduate of Minerva High School.  He was retired from ARG Oil Refinery where he was a truck driver, and previously worked 25 years at Republic Steel.  Andy was a member of St. James Catholic Church.  He enjoyed taking his kids fishing, talking with friends, and especially spending time with his family.  Andy honorably served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.

  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Wolf, and his beloved dog, Kia.  He is survived by his wife, Regina A. Olen, with whom he would have celebrated their 42nd Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 20th, one daughter, three sons and five grandchildren, Jenifer (Kevin) Webb, and their children, Johnathan, Ellianna, and Brynnlee, Andy (Megan) Olen, and their children, Taylor and Jacob, Matthew (Kassandra) Olen, and Stephen (Naty) Olen, and one sister, Michelle Mills.

  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Bishop as Celebrant.  Friends may call 12-1 p.m. Monday at the church before the Mass.  Interment will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery with Military Honors.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Andy’s memory may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 400 W.
