William J. Venosdle

Age 75, of East Sparta, passed away Wed. June 6, 2018.  He was born Jan. 29, 1943 in Canton, a son of the late William and Thelma (Wenger) Venosdle and had been an East Sparta resident 44 years.  Bill was a retired bricklayer.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Laurel L. Venosdle, on Aug. 22, 2011 and a brother Dick Baker.  Bill is survived by four daughters, Susan Venosdle, Debra (Michael) Hess, Tammy Venosdle and her fiancé, Jimmie Ralston, and Melissa (Jeffrey) Lab; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Margaret Saunier, Maxine Venosdle, and Donald Wise; and his best friend Greg Moore.  Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Peggy Garner officiating.  Interment will be in East Sparta Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.  Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
