WILLIAM G. FARBER, SR.
Age 75, of Magnolia, passed away Thur. evening in Aultman Hospital. Born in Canton, a son of the late Peter Gail and Louise (De Vault) Farber, he had been a Magnolia resident most of his life. He retired in 1991 from the Timken Co. after 40 years service as a Supervisor of Maintenance. He was a member of Caldwell Lodge #330, F. & A. M. in Bolivar, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton and Tadmor Temple, Akron. Bill served with the U.S. Army, was a member of the Magnolia Historical Society, volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America, and was a member and past Commodore of the Atwood Yacht Club. Survived by his wife, Beatrice (Richardson) Farber, with whom he would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on May 23, 2009; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Mollie Farber, Jr., of Charlotte, NC; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jane Weirich, of Hartville, JoAnn and Gerald "Mick" McWilliams, of East Sparta, Janice and Glen Fenton, of Alliance, and Judy Reed, of Louisville; two grandsons, Nathan Gail and Andrew Thomas Farber; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted Mon. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Jack Wingate officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville. Friends may call Sun. from 2-5 p.m. in the funeral home. Caldwell Lodge #330, F. & A. M. will hold Masonic services at 1:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
