WENDELL L. CASSIDY, SR.,

Age 58, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Tues. morning at home.  Born in Canton, a son of the late Walter and Annie (Meeks) Cassidy, he had been a life resident of Canton.  Wendell was a 1973 graduate of Glenwood High School and was a member of Painter's Union #841.  Preceded in death by two brothers.  Survived by his wife of 35 years, Martha Cassidy; one daughter, Carrie R. Cassidy, of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Wendell and Carrie A. Cassidy, Jr.; four grandchildren, Cheyenne Gilmore, Connor and Alayna Cassidy, and Aven Williams; two sisters, Mary Jane McMillen, of Canal Fulton, and Twila Nolan, of East Sparta; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Raymond and Noreen Cassidy, of East Canton, and Bobby Nolan, of East Sparta; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Services will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Brown officiating.  Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour before the service, from 10-11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Wendell's memory may be made to the family to help defray expenses.  Condolences may be left at www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
