Wayne R. Schneider

Age 71, of Sandyville, passed away Sat., Sept. 24, 2022.  He was born August 18, 1951 in Dover, a son of the late Ralph and Geraldine (Abrigg) Schneider, and was a life resident of this area.  Wayne was a 1969 graduate of Sandy Valley High School.  He was a retired 30 year employee of the Timken Company in the Bearing Dept.  He also worked twelve years for the Tuscarawas County Sheriff's Dept. where he was in charge of the Reserve.  Lastly, he had been head of security at New Towne Mall.  Wayne was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Caldwell Lodge #330, F. & A.M.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Noble.  He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Spadafora) Schneider, with whom he celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary on March 30th; three daughters, Traci (Travis) Smith, Tara (Chad) Armstrong, and Bethany (Alejandro) Aponte; six grandchildren, Madison (Jay) Norris, Gabriella Smith, Sophia Smith, Austin Armstrong, Seth Armstrong, and Joaquin Aponte; one sister, Mona (Mike) Selogy; one brother, Warren (Kristi) Schneider; and numerous nieces and nephews.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to the SICU Team at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, as well as Dr. Miller and Dr. Simon and their teams.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. Tomas Carvajal y Basto as Celebrant.  Friends may call Friday at the church one hour before the Mass from 10-11 a.m. The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is handling arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Wayne's memory may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1835 Dover Zoar Rd NE, Bolivar, OH 44612.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
