Walter J. Burnworth III
Age 56, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday evening, June 15, 2012, in Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Connellsville, PA, a son of the late Walter J. Burnworth, Jr., and Bessie Mae Bucholtz, and had been a Waynesburg resident most of his life. Walt was a graduate of Sandy Valley High School, and had been a truck driver for Schneider National for 10 years and recently received a Million Miles Certificate. He was a Disabled American Veteran and had served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War. Survived by his wife, Penny M. Burnworth, with whom he would have celebrated their 36th Wedding Anniversary on August 15th; one daughter, Kat Comstock, one son, Walter J. "John" Burnworth IV, and his beloved granddaughter, Sadie Baby Twiss, all of the home. Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Johnnie Crawford officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m.
