VIVIAN I. SLACK,
AGE 70, OF Sandyville, passed away Mon., June 16, 2014, in her residence. Born in Rutland, OH, a daughter of the late Truman and Macie (Lane) Priddy, she had been a resident of Sandyville for 45 years. Vivian was a member of Sandyville United Methodist Church, and had worked for Sandy Twp., in charge of the Town Hall in Sandyville. She was an avid bowler and Cleveland Indians fan. Preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Survived by her husband, John Slack, with whom she would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 3rd; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Shawn Burgess, of Bolivar; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Rachel Slack, III, of Sandyville, and Don and Carol Slack, of Magnolia; nine sisters and two brothers; and ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Vivian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A graveside service will be held Fri. at 10 a.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville with Pastor Ruthann Bosley officiating. A memorial service will follow, at 11 am. in the Sandyville United Methodist Church. The family requests you attend in casual attire.
