Victor K. Slutz,

84, of Rushville, passed away July 14, 2024 in Indianapolis.  He was born August 4, 1939 in Canton, OH to Charles W. & Catherine L. (Yant) Slutz.  Victor was a 1957 graduate of Sandy Valley High School in OH, and received his BS from Cincinnati Bible Seminary in 1969.  He married Shelby Collins in 1982 and she survives.  Victor held ministries in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio for over 65 years.  He grew up in the East Sparta Christian Church and did Mission work in Russia many years.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed a great adventure.  He loved to fish & took numerous fishing trips to Northern Ontario.  He enjoyed a quiet drive in the country and exploring old cemeteries.  He had a deep faith and knowledge of the Gospel and he loved sharing those beliefs with everyone he came to know!

Victor will be missed by his wife, Shelby Slutz, sons, Tim (Phyllis) Slutz of Carlisle, OH and George Schaeffer of Pataskala, OH, daughters, Jennifer (Howard) Bullard of Rush County, Joni (John) Wilson of Washington Courthouse, OH and Kim Kyle of Reynoldsburg, OH, daughter-in-law, Lori Slutz of Pocatello, Idaho, special cousin, Linda Engelhart, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews whom he cherished.  Victor was preceded in death by his parents, son, Randal Slutz, sister, Dorothy A. Howdyshell and brothers, William, Earl, Linford, Edward, Richard, John & Verl Slutz.

Services will be held at 1 PM Friday, July 19, 2024 in the East Sparta Christian Church where friends may visit the family from 11 AM until service time.  Family & friends are welcome from 6-8 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2024 for a time of visitation at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, IN.  Burial will be in the Melscheimer Cemetery in East Sparta, OH.  Howard & Jordan Bullard will preside over services.  Memorial contributions may be made to the East Sparta Christian Church, 9429 Main Ave SE, East Sparta, OH 44626 or to Melscheimer Cemetery Association, PO Box 434, East Sparta 44626.
