Victor J. "Jan" Yoho

Victor J. “Jan” Yoho, age 83, of East Sparta, passed away Tues., Sept. 1, 2026. He was born Feb. 11, 1943, in Canton, a son of the late William “Vic” and Alice (Friley) Yoho.

Jan was a 1961 Graduate of Sandy Valley High School and retired from the Timken Company. He was a member of North Industry Christian Church, where he served many years as an Elder of his church. Each week he led a team of volunteers to cook and serve meals, the highlight of his week. He also travelled to Mexico to support The Mexico Christian Children's Home as a short-term missionary.

Throughout his life he was also Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 38 in East Sparta for 8 years, influencing the lives of many young men. In his free time, Jan was an avid golfer, an amateur photographer, and loved playing Euchre with his grandsons.

Preceded in death by his son, Dennis Yoho. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Connie Yoho; one son, Doug (Kathy) Yoho; two grandsons, Kyle and Connor; one brother, Gary (Patty) Yoho and two sisters, Vicki Yoho (Nicki), and Jeanne Bee.

Services will be held Mon. at 11am in North Industry Christian Church. Interment in East Sparta Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 pm in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.
