VELOWR N. (SCHMUCKER) WIRTH,

Age 96, of Canton, passed away Thur. morning, Dec. 12, 2013. Born a daughter of the late Homer and Lillie Mae (Beard) Schmucker, she had been a life resident of Canton. Velowr was a graduate of McKinley High School and Wittenberg University, with a bachelor's Degree in Elementary education and where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She taught school in Plain Local Schools and also was a salesperson for I. G. Harman & Son Co. Velowr was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the Mary & Joseph Sunday School Class of the church, North Canton A.A.R.P., and Order of the Eastern Star. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Wirth, daughter, Peggy J. Skelley, brother and sister-in-law, Marvin "Bud" and Virginia Schmucker, brother-in-law, Glen Harman, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Genevieve Wirth. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Robert Morrow, of Canton; two grandsons, Stephen Morrow, of Dublin, OH and Christopher Skelley, of Louisville; one son-in-law, Kenneth Skelley, of Louisville; and one sister, Ruth Harman, of Canton. Services will be held Tues. at 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. Interment in Henry Warstler Cemetery. At her request there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Wirth's memory may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2551 55th St. NE, Canton, OH 44721.
