TIMOTHY W. BOWER, Age 68, of Lake Placid, FL, passed away there Mon. afternoon. Born in Canton, a son of the late Glen "Chuck" and Alice Jacobsen Bower, he had been a Florida resident for five years. He was a 1959 graduate of Canton South High School and retired from Seton Leather Co., with over 20 years service, where he was a truck driver and traffic manager. Previously he had been a driver for Slutz Trucking. Timothy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and Sandy Valley Eagles, and was a life member of American Legion Post #440 and the V.F.W. Preceded in death by his brother, Rick Bower. Survived by his wife, Debi Bower, with whom he celebrated their 32nd Wedding Anniversary on Jan. 29; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy Bower, of Carrollton, and Patricia and Ross Chaney, of Massillon; one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy W. and Kristie Bower II, of Centerville; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Joanne Bower, of East Sparta; one half-sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Forrest Dunagan, of Marietta, GA; and five grandchildren. Services will be conducted Sat. at 10 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Diana Thompson officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
