Therese M. Petersen Age 95, of Canton, passed away Tuesday morning in Meadow Wind Health Care Center. She was born in Friendsville, MD, a daughter of the late Jacob and Grace Friend Meyers, and had been a Canton resident since 1922. Therese was a 1932 graduate of McKinley High School. She retired in 1984 from Danner Press, after 35 years service, where she was a Supervisor. Previously she had worked at the Hoover Co. during World War II. Therese was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ralph M. Petersen, Sr., on Jan. 18, 1993, a son, James Meyers, two daughters-in-law, Patricia Meyers and Irma Petersen, and her seven brothers and three sisters. Survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ralph M. and Dolores Peterson, Jr., of Jackson Township, and Richard W. Petersen, of New Bern, NC; seven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held Thursday at 12 Noon in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Fr. Robert Kaylor officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.
