Thelma J. Nixon,
Age 97, of East Canton, formerly of Sandyville, passed away Mon., Feb. 24, 2025. She was born June 22, 1927, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Margaret (Jones) Seward. Thelma graduated from Bolivar High School and retired from TRW where she was a grinder in the metal shop. She attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Cinson, her second husband, Greg Nixon, her daughter, Diana Flesher, five sisters, Onilette Kropf, Betty Zutavern, Nadine Clugston, Jane Hay, and Catherine Dessecker, and Four brothers, Doyle, Ben. Dallas, and Samuel Seward. Survived by three sons, Thomas (Marilyn) Cinson, Joseph (Marcia) Cinson and James (Betsy) Cinson; one son-in-law, Barry Flesher; six grandchildren, Natalie (Jason Abigania) Cinson, Michael Cinson, Ben Cinson, Beth Cinson, Melissa (Chris) Dobson, and Barry (Christine) Flesher; three great grandchildren, Taylor Flesher, Vivian Dobson, and Finnegan Dobson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Fri., Mar. 7, 2025, at 11am in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Fr. Victor Cinson as Celebrant. Interment in St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery. Friends may call Thur. from 5-7pm in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.
